Mindy K. Lane
D.O., F.A.C.O.S.

Dr. Lane is a Michigan native who graduated at the top of her class from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996.

She completed her General Surgery residency in 2001 at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, and is a board certified General Surgeon.

Her fellowship training in Bariatric Surgery was completed at Ohio State University’s Department of Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Dr. Lane is a minimally invasive surgeon who has dedicated her career to bariatric surgery. She is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Director of Bariatric Surgery at Sparrow Hospital.

 

 

Kosisochi Obinwanne
M.D.

Dr. Obinwanne graduated in 2001 from the University of Ibadan, College of Medicine, in Nigeria.

He completed his General Surgery residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in South Carolina, and is a board certified General Surgeon by the American Board of Surgery. His fellowship training in Bariatric Surgery/General Surgery was completed at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in Wisconsin.

Dr. Obinwanne is a minimally invasive surgeon who has dedicated his career to performing bariatric and general surgical procedures, such as: cholecystectomy, hernia repairs, stomach intestinal and colon surgery, appendectomy and splenectomy.

 

 

Amanda Mason
PA-C

Ms. Mason graduated from Central Michigan University with her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She joined Sparrow Medical Group Bariatric Surgery in 2013.

Amanda is committed to providing exceptional Patient care as part of the bariatric surgery team. She assists the surgeons in the operating room and sees Patients pre-operatively and post-operatively in the office.

She is a member of the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
