Junior Instruction Program Class Levels

Junior Tennis Fall 2009 Schedule

Description of Junior Levels:

QuickStart (5-7): The focus for this level is development of motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Fun and games are key in this introductory class.

QuickStart (8-10): The focus is on solid fundamentals. Fun is the key and there will be plenty of it.

Intermediate I: This player has limited lesson experience. There should be some knowledge of basics, but this advanced beginner still needs work on a complete range of basic skills.

Intermediate II: This player has knowledge of all strokes and has a good grasp of technique but still needs additional review and work on overall consistency.

Rookie Tour, Challenger Tour, Junior Elite & Super Elite: This level of player is determined primarily by commitment. These classes will involve USTA ranked level players who have above average execution of all the spins and a commitment to play tournaments. Players of this level are usually engaged in programming three or more times per week.
