This quality policy was chosen for its simplicity and ability to target customer satisfaction as an overall goal of SRMS. The quality policy is a good representation of SRMS' commitment to comply with the requirements of the quality system and our desire to foster an environment of continual improvement in order to support our policy.
Quality Objectives
The following quality objectives are designed to support the quality policy through their establishment within all functions and levels of SRMS, as well as their measurability.
- Meet JCAHO requirements and data collection guidelines
- Assure that correct information flows from one department to the next
- Improve internal and external communication
- Improve customer satisfaction in the following areas:
- Adequate explanation of customer financial responsbilities for service and/or equipment
- Adequeate explanation customer rights and responsibilities
Medicare Standards
The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) provides health insurance for over 74 million Americans through Medicare, Medicaid and SCHIP. HCFA regulates Durable Medical Equipment suppliers and provides standards that every Medicare Durable Medicare Supplier must meet in order to obtain and retain their billing privileges.
