You as an individual may not need to avoid all the foods on the above list. To determine if one of
these foods does produce gas, add each food item slowly to your diet. Eat only a small amount at a time.

- Eat at Routine Times
: You cannot prevent gas by not eating. An empty
bowel produces gas. No matter what's on your schedule, eat when you usually do.
Correct Eating Technique: How you eat is even more important than what you eat. Most
intestinal gas is produced by swallowed air. Learn to relax, eat leisurely, and chew well. Try not to talk
while you eat. You'll feel more comfortable.
