Medical and Surgical care is provided in this unit for patients ages newborn through 18, who require specialized care but not the constant attention given in an intensive care unit. Pediatricians, hospitalists and pediatric residents provide around-the-clock coverage supported by a nursing staff specially trained to care for this young population.
Pediatrics is a family centered unit. A cot is available in each room and parents are encouraged to stay overnight.
