Pediatric Endocrinology
The Pediatric Endocrinology staff provide comprehensive services for children in the mid-Michigan area.
The pediatric program was established in 2001 and certified by the Michigan Department of Community Health in 2003.

What services does the Sparrow Health System Pediatric Endocrinology Team offer?
- Comprehensive diabetes evaluation and management by multi-disciplinary team
- Outpatient diabetes education: individual classes are offered during the day.
- Insulin instruction and blood glucose monitoring
- Insulin pump therapy
- Diabetes supplies and assistive devices including demonstration and instruction
How much does it cost for the services provided by the Sparrow Health System Pediatric Endocrinology Team?
Reimbursement guidelines are determined by the Michigan Department of Community Health. These services are reimbursed by Medicaid (requires a physician order), and many other private insurance companies.
