Regional Children's Center
A key component of the Sparrow Health System is the Sparrow Regional Children's Center. As the region's Children's Miracle Network hospital, and through the community support this affiliation provides, Sparrow continues to build the medically advanced programs and facilities for children that allow us to keep families together, close to home.
In June 2000, a new Ronald McDonald House opened adjacent to Sparrow Hospital. The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan provides a home away from home for ill children and their families who have come from throughout the mid-Michigan region seeking medical care in the Lansing area.

As a member of the National Association of Children's Hospitals and Related Institutions (NACHRI), we support child advocacy at the national level and continually network across the nation with the other 150 members to benchmark and stay abreast of pediatric services.
The Regional Children's Center at Sparrow is a resource for the entire region. Children visit our Center over 40,000 times a year. Our reputation for quality and continuing excellence, coupled with a close working affiliation with Michigan State University, attracts the finest physicians representing all pediatric specialties including the region's only pediatric intensivists and neonatologists. They are supported in their work by others specially trained to work with young patients, from pediatric nurses with advanced training in pediatric care to child life specialists who help children deal with their sickness or injury through play, education and emotional support.
Sparrow is affiliated with the Michigan State University Colleges of Human Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Nursing, and the University of Michigan Section of Pediatric Surgery at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. These collaborations provide a beneficial partnership in the latest advances in treatment options and technology. Additionally, our reputation for quality care and innovation makes Sparrow an ideal teaching environment for the training of new physicians, nurses and allied health workers.
