Ronald McDonald House
In June 2000, a new Ronald McDonald House opened adjacent to Sparrow Hospital.
The Ronald McDonald House is a place for you to come to rest, shower, relax, catch up on phone calls, get a hot meal or do your laundry.
Our House provides a small amount of normalcy in a very abnormal situation.

Our 10,000 square foot, eight bedroom house has a bed-and-breakfast feel and provides all the comforts of home. We are staffed 24 hours a day by a resident house manager.
You can check in any time of the day or night, although we do ask that check-ins occur between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. if at all possible. However, we do know emergencies occur and these times do not always fit into schedules.
Day-to-day operations are overseen by a staff of 65 volunteers. We also have a part time executive director who handles all administrative, fiscal, development, fund raising and public relations activities.
The House has eight bedrooms, a group living area, a kitchen, laundry facilities, a library, a children's play room, an office and a resident manager's apartment.
The Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan is part of a network of 234 Houses worldwide, providing more than 20,000 sleeping rooms every night to families. We charge a nominal fee of $10 per night.
We will bill FIA and Children's Special Healthcare Services and never turn anyone away for inability to pay. We do not restrict who stays at the House. We do, however, give priority to families traveling more than 30 minutes.
The House is here for any family member or principal caregiver of an ill child regardless of economic situation.
Stop over for a tour or ask a nurse, social worker or physician to complete a referral and get the rest you need at your difficult time.
