Pediatric Nephrology provides diagnosis and treatment for infants, children and adolescents with medical diseases of the kidney and lower urinary tract. Children with fluid electrolyte imbalances of unknown etiology, children with acute renal failure and those with endstage renal disease who require dialysis are seen. In addition, children who are in need of transplant are monitored along with the transplant center staff (University of Michigan or Wayne State University).
Services for counseling and follow up for families of pediatric patients with urinary tract anomalies diagnosed pre and post natally are also provided.
