In the last three years alone, Stroke for Life dollars have helped to provide a
CT scanner, colonoscope, a central monitoring system for the CMH Emergency Department and an EKG system for
the Cardiopulmonary Department. Proceeds from the 2008 Stroke for Life golf outing will be used to purchase
C-Arm X-Ray equipment for the Clinton Memorial Hospital Radiology Department.
Celebrating its 24th year, the outing is held at The Emerald Golf Course, the gem of Michigan golf
courses. Designed by renowned golf course architect Jerry Mathews, The Emerald is located just 10
minutes north of St. Johns on US 127.
- AM and PM scrambles are limited to 32 teams.
- Breakfast is served before the morning shotgun start of 8 a.m.
- Morning scramble check-in begins at 6:45 a.m.
- Afternoon scramble check-in begins at 11 a.m. with tee-off at 1:45 p.m.
- Lunch will be served on the course.
- Prizes are awarded to top teams.
- The steak and/or chicken dinner is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the afternoon golfers. Dinner for the morning golfers will follow their round.
- A complete practice facility is available, including driving range with six target greens, practice bunker and putting green.
