As of January 1, 2011 the Sparrow CME Office has entered into a partnership with the CME Office at Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine (MSU-CHM) to jointly accredit CME events. The two offices are located in the Medical Education Building at 910 Jerome Street, Lansing, MI 48909

AMA-PRA Category 1 CME Credits ™
All CME events with AMA-PRA Category 1 CME Credits ™ will come from MSU-CHM, an institution that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

AOA Category 1A CME Credit
All CME events withCategory 1A CME Credit will come from Sparrow, an institution accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

For participants

For activities such as the Sparrow Medical Impact Series or the Critical Care Conference Series that have CME Credit(s) associated with that program, please proceed to the events page and scroll down to the heading entitled CME.

For facilitators

If you are planning or if you currently facilitate a CME activity but need some assistance, please contact the CME Office at 517-364-2197 and someone will review the application process with you. MSU-CHM and Sparrow require no less than twelve (12) weeks’ notice of intent to apply for CME accreditation. A completed application packet must be received for review and approval no less than eight (8) weeks’ prior to the proposed single day activity or the first day of the recurring series.
