The Expectant Parents Organization (EPO) is a nonprofit organization serving families in the mid-Michigan area.
Prenatal education empowers parents to make informed choices in healthcare and to assume
responsiblity for their health. With a focus on these goals, EPO programs help parents by providing:
- Information about pregnancy, childbirth and parenting the newborn
- Coping skills to reduce discomfort and complications
- Support that reduces anxieties and promotes the individual's ability to cope
Working in cooperation with area physicians, midwives and hospitals, the Expectant
Paretns Organization serves over 4,800 people each year. Classes are taught by registered
nurses and are held in many locations throughout mid-Michigan. EPO is an affiliate of Sparrow Health System
and a partner agency with the Capitol Area United Way.
