The Sparrow Health Classic has a rich tradition, raising millions of dollars over the last 15 years for key
services and facilities. Area companies, Sparrow vendors and local individuals – in conjunction with Michigan
State University’s Athletic Department – have made this annual event one of mid-Michigan’s most successful
golf outings. It has helped cancer patients win personal battles, and most recently (with the help of Coach
Tom Izzo) funded the completion of the region’s first and only Pediatric Emergency Room at Sparrow Hospital.

This year’s outing is June 16 at the Country Club of Lansing, and includes the long-established, high-end
amenities that have separated this golf outing from all others. We take pride in offering quality golf,
tremendous food, unmatched prizes, and the chance to network with business executives throughout the Lansing
area. Moreover, it is an opportunity to meet MSU coaches, Sparrow administrators and key decision-makers.
This year’s outing also is a celebration of Sparrow’s new 10-story Tower. Many who are involved with the golf
outing are, or have been a part of constructing this extraordinary facility. Money raised from the 2008
Sparrow Health Classic will go toward helping Sparrow continue its pursuit of providing local families with
the best, most-advanced healthcare services available today. Please consider yourself invited, as we pay
tribute to those who played an enormous role in making the Tower come alive.
The Sparrow Health Classic, which raised nearly $200,000 in 2007, has been a sold-out event since its inception.
Dozens of Sparrow Associates volunteer their time to work at the outing, and many come back year after year.
It’s a terrific event for a tremendous cause.
