Hike for Hospice
The 10th Annual Hike for Hospice will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Hawk Island Park in Lansing.
The Walk is 5K (3.1 miles) and all monies raised support hospice services in mid-Michigan.
Our goal is to create awareness of hospice services. Patients often enroll in hospice very late after having
suffered needlessly. Reports show that only 16 percent of patients who could use hospice services are enrolled
in hospice programs. Many insurance plans do not cover the entire cost of hospice care.
