Hospice Rose Garden Club has two campaigns each year:

  • In the fall, funds support the Winter Rose Program, which furnishes roses to each hospice patient over the winter months.
  • In the spring, funds are used to maintain and complete the gardens, so each patient can have a beautiful rose from the garden to enjoy during the blooming season.

Your donation to the Hospice Rose Garden Club helps fund these projects. Volunteers do the work, and Hospice House patients and their families enjoy the results!

"The roses provided by the rose club to our patients have brought many smiles, not only to our patients but also to their families and our staff. The beauty of a rose has a language of its own — they have a special message that everyone appreciates."

Spring 2007 Campaign

Dear Friends:

Anyone who has ever planted a seed knows how rewarding it is to watch their efforts grow and bloom. This spring we look forward to another year of beautiful flowers. We are pleased to announce the Hospice Rose Garden Club’s annual appeal for Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan.

The Hospice Rose Garden Club is proud to support Sparrow Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. As a club, we value the services it provides to the community, family and friends. Once again, we renew our commitment to Hospice House and are reminded of the important contributions that result from the Rose Garden Club’s annual appeal:

  • The club continues to give fresh cut roses to hospice patients during the blooming months and purchase roses for the patients during the other months. Many are touched by this thoughtful gesture.
  • The flowers and sculpture contributed by this club add great beauty to the rose gardens on Sparrow St. Lawrence Campus and Caroline’s Rooftop Garden at Sparrow Hospice House.
  • We are grateful to Mary Jane Boak from LawnTech, Inc. for generously maintaining these gardens, helping this club provide the highest quality flowers for the patients.
  • Each year, the club acquires additional plants as well as signs, fertilizer and insect control to ensure thriving gardens.

Although the beauty of nature is priceless, the reality of cultivating these gardens requires funding. Please help us continue this successful program by making an online donation. With your assistance, the rose gardens will continue to grow.

If you would like more information on the Hospice Rose Garden Club, please contact the Sparrow Foundation at 517.364.5680.

Sincerely,
Bob Campbell, Hospice Rose Garden Club President
