Dear Friends of Sparrow:
Our 9th annual Ultimate Golf Outing presented by Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company is set for August 29, and this truly will be our biggest and best year ever. With last year’s proceeds we exceeded the $500,000 mark for the lifetime of our event.
Coaches for Kids is dedicated to raising funds to build the first Pediatric ER in Mid-Michigan at Sparrow Hospital. Kids’ needs are very different from those of adults -especially when it comes to emergency and trauma care. Coaches for Kids and their partners, Athletes and Officials for Kids, are working to make sure the best emergency care is available to all children in mid-Michigan. We are very proud of this mission and depend on individuals, businesses and organizations to champion this cause.
For the third year, we will hold our outing at Michigan State University’s 36-hole Forest Akers. We want to thank Denise Ngubeni at Forest Akers for her dedication in giving Children’s Miracle Network the best deal in order to serve the children in our community.
Please make your plans to be a part of our big day, and, also join us for the fifth annual MSU Marching Band for Kids Concert this year on Sunday, September 9, at our home. The first four have been fantastic and we split our proceeds between Sparrow and the MSU Marching Band.
We welcome new sponsors and are proud that we have kept our prices to the golf outing and the concert the same over all the years.
Please make your plans to be with us for both dates. We think 2007 will be our best year yet for both of these outstanding projects. By 2008, the Emergency Room will be up and running, one of the finest in the world and we will all be proud of the efforts we have put forth over the years.
