Dear Friends of Sparrow:
Our 11th annual Ultimate Golf Outing, presented by Michigan Millers Mutual Insurance Company, will be held at Forest Akers Golf Course on August 26 and we are looking forward to another fabulous event! With everyone’s help, our efforts over the years have resulted in more than half a million dollars in donations to the Sparrow Regional Children’s Center.
These funds, along with your dedication, allowed for the opening last year of mid-Michigan’s first and only specially-designed pediatric emergency room. Today, the dedicated physicians, nurses, and support staff, specially trained in pediatric care, treat more than 25,000 child emergencies a year.
In 2009 we are raising funds to recruit and retain two additional sub-specialty surgeons. Just like MSU Football Coach, Mark Dantonio, strives to put together the most talented and accomplished football team, Sparrow Regional Children’s Center is building the most highly skilled and comprehensive Pediatric team in the Mid-Michigan area.
Please join us August 26th at the golf outing and reserve your calendar for the 7th annual MSU Marching Band for Kids Concert on September 13 at our home. Each year, the proceeds from this fantastic event are split between the Sparrow Regional Children’s Center and the MSU Marching Band.
We are looking forward to another successful year for both outstanding projects. We have one of our nation’s finest Pediatric Centers right here in Lansing, and we should all be proud of our combined efforts to make this resource available to mid-Michigan’s families.
