Campaigns & Community Events Miracle Balloons: April & May Be a part of a committee to help recruit and service businesses (deliver to local areas) in our community that will sell $1 paper balloons for Children’s Miracle Network. Sparrow Health Classic: June 16 This annual golf outing is fun for everyone. It will be held at the Country Club of Lansing. Kohl's Presents..The Michigan Mile: May 31 Help at this kid’s fun run event at the Lugnuts’ Oldsmobile Park, benefiting the CMN Feelin’ Good Mileage Club program. Help with registration, staff the course and distribute water and food to the children. More than 1,500 kids participate in this event. 150 volunteers are needed! Race Day at MIS: TBD Help with ticket taking, crowd-flow and parking at NASCAR and IRL races. Car pool from Sparrow if you want. Boxed lunch provided for this all-day event. Need 30-40 volunteers per race. Sparrow CMN gets a donation for each volunteer! Tim Staudt’s Ultimate Golf Outing: Aug 27 This annual golf outing will be held at MSU’s Forest Akers Complex to benefit Coaches for Kids. W3 5K/0K Run...Walk...Revitalize: Sept 7 Help with this event to benefit Women’s Services at Sparrow. Register runners/walkers, help set up revitalization booths. CMN & MSU Marching Band for Kids: Sept 7 The annual concert is held at Tim Staudt’s home in Okemos. Will need volunteers for hospitality and crowd control as 400 people and a marching band trample Tim’s backyard! Hike for Hospice: Sept 21 Help organize this walk and relay benefiting the Sparrow Hospice Services. Walkers and volunteers for the event are also needed. CMN Radiothon: Dec 11-13 Radiothon works a lot like the CMN Telethon, only without the cameras! Help answer phones, process pledges, organize interviews & have a great time with the WVIC on-air staff! Meijer Holiday Hoops: December TBD Help facilitate this annual boy’s basketball tournament at MSU’s Breslin Student Events Center.

Children's Miracle Network Telethon May 30, 9 pm – 1 am May 31, 10 am – 6 pm Set Assistants: May 28-31 Help decorate the set prior to the broadcast. During the broadcast, assist with the phone banks and help in other areas. Guest Services: May 30-31 Coordinate food areas, greet/direct volunteers and guest, help with tours and staff the registration desk. Spirit Leaders: May Promote event prior to broadcast, coordinate audience and kids during the broadcast and boost enthusiasm. Pledge Processing: May 30-31 Pick up pledge cards, make confirmation calls and prepare mailings. Data Processing: May 30-31 Enter pledges into system and generate pledge reminders. Production Assistants: May 30-31 Fast-paced & fun! Direct the on-air guests on and off the set during the live broadcast. Organize presentation checks, equipment, props and mascots!
