We offer Graduate Nurses the self-confidence, knowledge and clinical expertise needed to make the transition from
Graduate Nurse to Registered Nurse a successful one. As one of our Nurse Interns, you will participate in an extensive orientation program that introduces you to
both the Sparrow Health System and the role of Registered Nurse. In addition, our preceptor program is designed to provide you with the individualized
support necessary to improve skills and increase your patient care responsibilities. Your transition to the professional role
will be complete upon achieving Registered Nurse Licensure.
If you are a candidate for graduation from an accredited Associate's or Bachelor's degree program, contact us now about
the Nurse Intern opportunities at Sparrow Health System. Congratulations on your accomplishments.
Graduate Nurses must schedule the board exam within one week of receipt of letter from the State of Michigan and complete the exam within 30-60 days of employment.
As a new graduate nurse you can enter Sparrow Health System one of two ways:
- Through the Nurse Residency 12 week Program.
- Nurse Interns hired directly into a unit are given an 8-12 week unit orientation with a preceptor. Click here for a list of RN departments that may have positions open for New Graduates.
To fill out an application for these positions please go to Employment Opportunities, select Public Job Opportunities and select Registered Nursing Student/New Grad from the Select a Job Category section and you will see a posting for Nurse Resident and/or Nurse Intern/New Grad. Please complete the online application and attach a resume to the application.
Graduating Nurses interested in an RN position are welcome to complete an application for any available RN
position listed. You may interview with several units, but only one application is required.
Best of luck in your endeavors!
