The Michigan Athletic Club (MAC) offers adult basketball leagues each fall and winter for Men. The leagues take place on Sundays, with late afternoon to early evening game times. League format includes a minimum of seven league games followed by an all-inclusive post-season tournament. Three certified officials are used each game. Updated league standings, game results, and leading scorers are posted weekly. The league’s leading scorers are posted mid-season as well as at the end of the regular season. Awards are provided to the league champions.

Pizza House finished the regular season with an unblemished 7- 0 record. Their first-place finish in the regular season standings earned them a 1-seed and a first-round bye in the post-season tournament. Pizza House got by Run & Gun in the first round by a final of 78- 58. The win over Run & Gun propelled Pizza House into the Nov. 18 championship against league nemesis MAC Fire. Pizza House had defeated MAC Fire earlier in the season in a 67 – 64 thriller. Pizza House took early control as they raced off to a 30 – 23 halftime lead. Pizza House came out strong in the second half as well as they raced off to a 62 – 49 final. Dre Callahan led the way for Pizza House by dropping in 19 points in the victory. Teammates Mike McClary and Pete Bunn chipped in with 16 & 13 points respectively in the win. Both the Pizza House team as well as MAC Fire enjoyed the traditional Men’s Basketball banquet next door at the Pizza House. The Men’s league will take a short break over the holidays and gear up for the 2019 Winter League which is slated to start in mid-January.
