Accreditation (ACCME & AOA)

Sparrow Health System is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) on CME, and the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) on CME Accreditation granting us the ability to recognize and award Category 1-A and Category 1 CME Credit for activities that have met the processes and standards set forth by the two accrediting bodies.

On documents that state the event is Sparrow sponsored, the following accreditation statement must be used:

"Sparrow Health System is accredited by the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS) Committee on CME Accreditation to provide continuing medical education. Sparrow Health System designates this educational activity for a maximum of ( ) AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity."
