Requesting Audiovisual Equipment

Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs are held in a variety of locations throughout Sparrow Health System. Audiovisual (A-V) equipment is needed at times to help in facilitating a speaker’s presentation. The CME Office does not own nor control the use of any A-V equipment. However if you are in need of such support the SHS Library does have A-V equipment available for check-out.

While some equipment is available at specific locations (see below) it is recommended that you confirm the type of equipment needed for your program with the SHS Library. If the item needed is not identified below, please contact the Library to reserve the equipment needed. Pickup and return of all equipment is your responsibility. If you have any problems with this equipment please contact the SHS Library by calling for assistance at 517.364.5660. The Library is staffed between the hours of 7:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Instruction in the use of A-V equipment is recommended prior to your event.

Other audiovisual equipment that is available from the Library on a “check-out” basis include a Television & VCR/DVD, LCD Projector (used in conjunction with a Laptop computer or a VCR), laptop computer, slide projector, overhead projector and portable sound system.

NOTE: When checking out the above items, please reserve them far enough in advance to ensure that the item is available for your programs. In essence, it is your responsibility to reserve, pick up, and return all equipment to the Library unless told otherwise. Only Sparrow Associates will be allowed to reserve and checkout equipment (NOTE: you must have a Sparrow Associate Badge).
