The Sparrow Health System Board of Trustees stalwart commitment to medical education provides us with a solid foundation upon which we have built a comprehensive, well-rounded set of clinical experiences that include patient care, academics and clinical research.
Educational and Clinical Resources
Available to the Sparrow interns, residents and sub-specialty residents are PDA’s that can be linked to the Internet, along with opportunities to access both clinical and educational technology on a wide variety of challenging pathology. The Sparrow Health Science Library has subscriptions to numerous journals and a support staff with access to literature search services, inter-library loan services and facsimile machines for rapid article exchange with other medical libraries. In addition, Medline and direct computer search services through the National Library of Medicine round out the resources available to support the learning process.
Relationships
Sparrow enjoys a cooperative and collaborative relationship with Michigan State University Colleges of Human Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine. As a vital link to Sparrow
Hospital, MSU provides a foundation for clinical and academic leadership
through a stimulating environment with dedicated physician faculty,
outstanding clinicians and personal mentors.
