Tuesday, June 17, 2014 - Senator Stabenow tours new Sparrow Medical Group VOA Clinic

Senator Stebenow with Caregivers at the Sparrow Medical Group VOA Clinic.

Senator Debbie Stabenow stopped by the Sparrow Medical Group VOA Clinic on Monday. It was a great opportunity to show off our joint medical clinic serving homeless Patients and the medically underserved in the Lansing area.

Stabenow visited with Caregivers, chatted with Patients and took a tour.

The clinic, located at 430 North Larch St. in Lansing, opened in March and each year will serve an estimated 3,400 underserved Patients, many of whom are physically disabled and/or suffer from mental illness. It is only the second of its kind in the nation and the first in Michigan.
