Tuesday, September 02, 2014 - Registration still open for Kaleidoscope event on Friday

“Downton Abbey” insider Jessica Fellowes will keynote Kaleidoscope, a daylong event on Friday, Sept. 5, designed to empower, enrich, and inspire women.

Hundreds are expected at this exciting program at Michigan State University’s Kellogg Center.

Fellowes, niece of Oscar-winning “Downton Abbey” creator/writer Julian Fellowes, is the author of “The Chronicles of Downton Abbey” and “The World of Downton Abbey.”

Popular lecturer and scholar Elliot Engel will open Kaleidoscope by exploring the novel “Gone with the Wind.”

The Sparrow Foundation and Women Working Wonders (W3) Kaleidoscope event is entering its 40th year. It has previously been presented by the MSU Alumni Association.

The program includes a luncheon, and a health emporium featuring screenings, tips and information from Sparrow Caregivers. Online registration is available through today, (Sept. 2). Registration is also available at the event.

Other topics include caring for aging parents, leading a more balanced life, a history of Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel, and much more.

Proceeds from this year’s Kaleidoscope will benefit the Sparrow Cancer Center, your home for comprehensive cancer care. The program’s presenting sponsor is MSU Federal Credit Union.
