Nursing Experience: Deb has spent most of her nursing career in the critical unit. Deb is able to care for critical patients independently in addition to being heart trained: balloon pump, CRRT, etc. She spent the first couple of years as a medical/surgical float at Foote Hospital and has been at Sparrow for 25 years.

Nursing Experience at Sparrow: Critical Care Nurse in ICU, assistant manager of ICU and now the manager. I occasionally cover the supervisors when needed.

Team Philosophy:
Patients first......we give excellent, quality care and emotional support to our patients and their families.

What Deb likes most about her specialty area:
Being able to see how nurses grow in the critical care area.
