This Level One Trauma Center is a 51-bed unit with 14 of those being dedicated to the Pediatric Emergency Department. These rooms are utilized for the treatment of all kinds of
injuries and conditions including: major traumas, neuro, burns, pediatrics, high risk obstetrics, and cardiac care. This department utilizes a 5 Level Triage System and implements Advanced Nursing Protocols to expedite
patient care. This department also has an on-site Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and a ground transport Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU).
