This unit services pediatric, adult/geriatric patients with multiple diagnoses of all acuities in providing post-surgical and post-procedural anesthetic care.
This unit also provides an environment in which anesthesia can provide patients with procedures for pain relief/management. Age specific criteria and American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses
standards of care are followed. PACU Associates work closely with anesthesia and all of the interdisciplinary departments to ensure total management of the patient.
Unit Based Council
The Post-Anesthesia Care Unit Based Council is a group of associates that represent all categories of our unit. The council consists of 4 RNs, a HUC, and
a transport tech. Our mission is to represent our unit and explore and research any ideas, issues, and other tasks that may be presented to our unit. We are
always open for suggestions and any input from our fellow associates. We strive to make our unit an enjoyable and well educated place to work.
