This state of the art Pediatric Emergency Department consists of 14 designated private pediatric rooms, within a 51 bed Level One Trauma Center. These rooms are designed for the treatment of pediatric patients of all levels of acuity, including major trauma. This brand new Pediatric Emergency Department utilizes a 5 level triage system and advance nursing protocols to expedite patient care. Also available at Sparrow is an on-site SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) program and a pediatric critical care transport team.
