The Sparrow/MSU Residency Training Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a four-year, ACGME accredited program with sixteen residents. The program is conducted under the auspices of Sparrow
Hospital in cooperation with the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. This
educational partnership between the largest community hospital in mid-Michigan and Michigan State University has a heritage spanning more than 25 years with alumni practicing
and teaching across the United States.
One-on-one and group interactions with our
dedicated faculty and sub-specialists result in exceptional clinical and
surgical training. Drawing on the large volume of patients at Sparrow
Hospital and the diverse faculty resources of both institutions, the
Sparrow educational experience prepares graduates to be effective
generalists, consultants and primary care providers within the field of
obstetrics and gynecology. Additionally, graduating residents are broadly
prepared to enter fellowship training if that is their career choice.
