Marc E. Silverstein, M.D.
Medical Director, Anesthesiologist

Dr. Silverstein is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with added qualifications in Pain Management. He received his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. He completed a transitional internship with emphasis in Medicine at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, Illinois; residency in Anesthesiology at Northwestern; fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at the Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago; and fellowship in Pain Management at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Dr. Silverstein has been an attending staff anesthesiologist at Sparrow Hospital and the Sparrow Pain Management Center since 1994. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Center. He has had teaching appointments as instructor of Clinical Anesthesia at Northwestern University, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is currently Associate Clinical Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Dr. Silverstein has presented lectures on pain and anesthesiology topics to both lay and professional groups.
