• Specimen: submit fresh (unfixed) specimens. Transport immediately after collection to SRL Cytology department. Note: If cell count is needed, submit to hematology for differential count
• Storage: refrigerate
• Performed: Monday – Friday
• Reported: 2 business days
• Reference range: Narrative report
• Method: Microscopy
