Several physicians may be involved in your care during your rehabilitation stay. The attending physician,
normally your family physician, oversees your daily medical care. Other consulting physicians may become
involved for any special medical problems that you may have. A physiatrist is a physician who has specialized
training in rehabilitation. They will coordinate and direct your rehabilitation program with other members
of the Rehabilitation Team. The physiatrists will also work closely with your attending physician and any other
special consultants your physician has requested. Your attending physician, upon the recommendation
of the Rehabilitation Team, will arrange your discharge.
