Your anesthesiologist and anesthetist are key members of your surgical team. They give you anesthetics (medications to keep you comfortable) and stay with you for the entire procedure, constantly monitoring every important function of your body and individually modifying your anesthetic to ensure your maximum safety and comfort.
Sparrow anesthetists are fully board certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA) and board certified physician assistant anesthetists (PAA). They are an important part of an anesthesia care team that fosters safety, comfort, and emotional support to patients undergoing any medical or surgical procedure in which there may be discomfort or pain. Working closely with a board-certified anesthesiologist (MD or DO), they provide all types of anesthetics in a variety of settings to all ages. With a commitment to excellence in an ever-changing world, Sparrow anesthetists provide hallmark anesthesia tailored to each patient’s needs.
Anesthesia services are provided at both Sparrow and St. Lawrence campuses.
