The Department of Surgery has a specialized team of nurses, surgical technicians, and anesthesiologists who work with, and for, adults and children of all ages. This group of ENT/Pediatric specialists is comprised of 20 team members, each of them aid in performing many types of surgical procedures.
Our surgical team works with specialists in ENT who perform:
- tonsillectomies
- many kinds of ear surgeries
- mastoid procedures
- thyroid and parotid procedures
- sinus procedurs
Special sinus procedures are performed using a guided computer navigational system that allows the surgeons to visualize the exact area in the sinus they are operating on.
Our pediatric surgical procedures are performed with University of Michigan pediatric surgeons. These surgeons complete a wide variety of elective surgery such as hernia repairs, hydocele repairs, laparoscopic, endoscopic, and cancer surgeries.
Their specialty is reflective of the kinds of surgical procedures performed on newborns, and children up to the age of 18.
