The Sparrow Orthopedic Surgical team is comprised of 21 highly skilled nurses and surgical technicians who assist a diverse group of orthopedic surgeons in a wide variety of procedures. These include sports medicine, total joints, orthopedic trauma, fractures and correction of bone deformities.
Types of services provided:
Sports Medicine
Sparrow physicians perform thousands of procedures a year to treat sports injuries and arthritis related conditions. Most repairs of the knee, shoulder, ankle, wrist and elbow can be accomplished through a minimally invasive arthroscope. This allows the patient to return to prior activities with the minimum recovery time.
Total Joint Replacements
The Sparrow Orthopedics team and surgeons perform hundreds of total knee, hip and shoulder procedures every year. These procedures treat severe arthritis or traumatic injury to the joint. Patients enjoy greater mobility and less discomfort as a result of these procedures. We offer thorough pre-operative education classes regarding total joints as well as excellent rehabilitation post-op.
Fractures and Trauma
Our level one trauma center provides immediate treatment for the simple to complex and multiple fracture injuries. A wide variety of internal and external methods include plates, screws, nails, pins and casts.
