The opportunities for volunteering at the Sparrow Campus vary widely. Please choose an option below that

Work with patients:
Emergency - Provide assistance in ER to patients and staff.
Escorts - Provide a wheelchair ride for patients to their transportation upon discharge.
Gift Shop Cart - Visit patient rooms to sell merchandise. This is part of being a Gift Shop Volunteer.
Outpatient Surgery - Provide assistance to patients, families, and associates within the Outpatient Surgery Department.
Patient Ambassadors - Visit patients/families to welcome them to the Hospital.
Radiology - Provide assistance to patients, families, and associates within the Radiology department.
TLC Oncology - Subs needed. Welcome and assist patients in the Cancer Center waiting room.
Work “behind the scenes” and provide services to hospital staff:
Central Scheduling - Make reminder calls to patients with appointments for testing.
Office Support - Provide clerical assistance to a number of departments in the health system.
Volunteer Services - Clerical assistance including answering telephone, database entry, filing and errands.
Work with families, visitors and the public:
Escorts - Provide a wheelchair ride for patients to their transportation upon discharge.
Gift Shop - Maintain and operate the Gift Shop for the benefit of patients, visitors and staff.
Heart Center Waiting Room - Assist families in the lounge by providing refreshments, pagers, and updates from the medical staff.
Helping Hands - This position is currently full.
Information Desk - Answer telephone and direct visitors at the front desk of the Hospital.
Outpatient Surgery - Provide assistance to patients, families, and associates within the Outpatient Surgery Department.
Radiology - Provide assistance to patients, families, and associates within the Radiology department.
Surgical Lounge - Provide support to patients and ensure that families have the opportunity to meet with the medical staff following surgery.
TLC Critical Care Lounge - Talk with family members, provide phone messages and servce as a liaison between the family and the services offered at Sparrow.
Work evenings & weekends
Emergency - Provide assistance in ER to patients and staff.
Escorts - Provide a wheelchair ride for patients to their transportation upon discharge.
Gift Shop - Operate the Gift Shop by selling merchandise to visitors and patients.
Gift Shop Cart - Visit patient rooms to sell merchandise. This is part of being a Gift Shop Volunteer.
Information Desk - Answer telephone and direct visitors at the front desk of the Hospital.
Main Lobby Greeter and Escort - Offer wheelchair rides or walking escort to visitors and patients in the lobby. Respond to phone call requests for an escort in the hospital and deliver flowers as needed.
Neuro Navigators - Provide directions for visitors and give support/updates to families. Monitor the lounge and make coffee as needed.
Surgical Lounge - Provide support to patients and ensure that families have the opportunity to meet with the medical staff following surgery.
