Lung Cancer
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths in women.
Cigarette smoking causes most cases of lung cancer, although other factors may cause the disease. These include exposure to second-hand smoke, exposure
to harmful substances such as asbestos, or to high levels of radon, a radioactive gas.
The earlier lung cancer is detected, the more successful treatment
is likely to be. If you have a persistent cough or blood in your sputum, see your physician
immediately.
