Bianca Ponce-Quintana, a barista at the Starbucks inside University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing, goes above and beyond to ensure team members, patients and guests are treated with respect and dignity every day.
“I’m only pouring coffee, but I like to think that I’m spreading joy to those we serve” said Ponce-Quintana. “Even if it’s a small difference, it makes me feel good to know that I’m making a positive impact on someone’s day.”
She believes that taking the time to remember someone's name or their coffee order is an act of thoughtfulness and kindness. That is just one of the reasons why she is this month’s Sparrow Spotlight.
