A plan of care to help you feel your best

Whether you’re recovering from a stroke, healing after a car accident, or bouncing back from a work injury; whether you’re rebuilding strength and flexibility, or remastering basic tasks… you can find the care you need at Sparrow, the region’s premier provider of rehabilitation services.

Not only do we offer the most comprehensive list of rehab specialties, our strong connections with other Sparrow providers help us assemble the right team to give you all the ongoing support you need.

The best rehabilitative care for serious challenges

For patients with complex rehabilitation needs, there’s no better care available in the region than Mary Free Bed at Sparrow.

This nationally acclaimed joint venture between Sparrow Hospital and Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital provides specialized inpatient rehabilitative care for patients who are recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation or other serious trauma with outstanding patient outcomes.

Here, at our 40-bed CARF-accredited unit, you’ll receive a comprehensive interdisciplinary individualized treatment plan and at least three hours of daily physical, occupational and speech therapy five out of seven days to rebuild day-to-day skills. This unit was renovated in 2015-16 and features private patient rooms and state-of-the-art features.

Mary Free Bed also offers an outpatient rehabilitation center, Mary Free Bed at Sparrow Day Rehab, for patients who can benefit from intensive therapy while living at home, so you can continue in your rehabilitation journey while getting back to your normal routine.

Continue your recovery after you leave the hospital

Whatever your injury, Sparrow offers outpatient physical and occupational therapy that can help improve your quality of life.

Sparrow’s rehab services enable patients like you to feel your best while playing competitive sports, working a demanding job, or just playing with the grandkids.

We offer rehabilitation services at 12 convenient outpatient facilities in Mid-Michigan, so you can get the care you need, close to home.
