Senior Services

We're here for every stage of your life

We know that as you age, your needs change. That's why we're here to provide specific care for those over 65. Our Senior Health Services team works to provide timely access to primary and specialty physicians, a nurse practitioner and a medical social worker, who help promote a healthy lifestyle no matter your age. Our goal is to ensure communication, coordination and continuity of care throughout the health system. And by collaborating with community agencies, we're devoted to helping you maintain your quality of life and independence.

Our comprehensive range of services includes physical examinations, counseling, health education and more. If a primary care patient is hospitalized, the Sparrow Medical Group hospitalist will greet you and follow up with the physicians at Senior Health.

Senior Health is staffed by geriatricians, a medical social worker and a nurse practitioner. Twenty-four-hour medical call coverage is available. The Sparrow hospitalists cover inpatient care at E.W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing for our patients.

A Senior Health social worker is also available to assist caregivers by linking you and your loved ones with support services, day care facilities, respite programs and other organizations offering programs for older adults and their families.
