Matthew Kurtzhals does not ever seem to have a bad day. As a Parking Valet at the Sparrow Professional Building, he is often the first face a Patient sees, setting the stage for their entire Sparrow visit.

Matt greets every visitor with a smile and as anyone who has visited the building can attest… he remembers you by name. He uses his uncanny knack for remembering names to help make that personal connection with everyone who walks through the door.

“We get constant compliments from our Patients regarding Matt. He consistently maintains a positive attitude and works very efficiently,” said the staff from Capital Cardiology. “It’s just one of the ways he makes our Patients, Visitors and guests feel special and important.”

Matt has been a Parking Valet at Sparrow for nine years.

His dedication and attitude have earned him recognition in Sparrow’s Caregiver Spotlight, honoring those who go above and beyond in providing extraordinary Patient care, making sure the needs of the Patient always come first.

“People don’t always want to be here, they have to be here. So a little smile can go a long way,” Matt says.
