CHARLOTTE, MI – Sparrow Eaton Hospital is celebrating its national recognition for a top score in patient satisfaction, fueled by its leading-edge medicine and highly skilled physicians.

The Sparrow Eaton Emergency Department received a five-star award from Professional Research Consultants, Inc. in recognition of scores in the top 10 percent nationally for “Overall Quality of Care.” The PRC Excellence in Healthcare Awards are presented to organizations and individuals who have achieved top standards in patient satisfaction scores in the previous year, based on patient surveys.

The award certification commended the Sparrow Eaton team’s “commitment to excellence that makes Sparrow Eaton’s Emergency Department a wonderful place to work, a wonderful place to practice medicine, and a wonderful place for our patients to be treated.”

“Our Emergency Department has become one of the busiest in the area, caring for patients in over 16,000 visits this past year,” said Helen Johnson, President of Sparrow Eaton Hospital. “This recognition simply solidifies what I witness every day. Our emergency services team delivers care with dedication, determination and excellence – demonstrating Sparrow Eaton’s commitment to quality.”

Said Rachel Latunski, Manager of Emergency Services at Sparrow Eaton: “In emergency situations, every second counts. We know when patients walk through our doors they are often – literally – putting their lives in our hands. I could not be prouder of this team of highly skilled physicians and caregivers who specialize in emergency medicine. It is truly a privilege to lead them in delivering compassionate care to our community, every hour of every day.”
