Stacks of flapjacks will be given away at East Lansing's IHOP on Feb. 28 to benefit the Sparrow Children's Center, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital.
The event is part of National Pancake Day, an annual fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals across the country. For every free short stack of buttermilk pancakes served in participating IHOPs from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to benefit Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
"IHOP has shown incredible generosity by hosting this event since 2006 and raising millions of dollars for hospitals in the Children's Miracle Network," said Joy Wiseman, Director of Development for the Sparrow Foundation. "Locally, we hope everyone will come out to enjoy some free pancakes and donate to the Sparrow Children's Center. All of the money raised at the East Lansing IHOP will stay here to support young Patients at Sparrow."
The East Lansing IHOP is located at 2771 E. Grand River Ave.
In 2011, participating IHOP stores served 4 million free pancakes on National Pancake Day and raised more than $2.5 million for the Children's Miracle Network. For more information on National Pancake Day, visit ihoppancakeday.com.
