Kimberly Dora, RN, helps make the Sparrow Ionia Surgery Department a leader in quality, compassionate care.

As a perioperative Nurse, she provides care for Patients before, during and after their operations.

“I want my Patients to know and feel how sincere I am at being an advocate for them and their family,” said Dora. “I believe in radical loving care.”

Dora’s willingness to pitch in and her unfailing positive attitude led to her being nominated for Sparrow’s Caregiver Spotlight. Sparrow is honoring those who go above and beyond, making sure the needs of the Patient always come first.

“At one time, she was the only full-time Registered Nurse in our Surgery Department,” said Amanda Martin, Sparrow Ionia Ambulatory Surgical Manager. “She trained two new Caregivers for several months all while being on-call for an extended amount of time.”

Dora doesn’t’ think of her daily work as a job, but as her chosen path in life. She has been at Sparrow Ionia for 10 years.
