Sparrow has had a special relationship with the Olivia Kay Foundation Inc., led by Lisa and Chad Borodychuk of DeWitt, whose daughter Olivia is a regular Patient here and suffers from a rare and painful form of Leukodystrophy.
The Borodychuks have distributed hundreds of pillows to comfort young Patients such as Olivia.
Sparrow helped arrange a meeting between the Borodychuks and country superstar Tim McGraw before his concert at the Common Ground Music Festival. McGraw’s website and Facebook page have featured the family’s story, as has People magazine. The Borodychuks presented McGraw with a Be Humble and Kind handmade pillow (echoing his latest hit song) and described their work to him. He was extremely gracious with his time and interest.
