Plastic wagons make moving around a little easier for some of Sparrow’s youngest Patients.
Ten were recently donated to the Sparrow Children’s Center by two former pediatric Patients and their competitive cheer team, the WILDCATS Cheer Pride. The little girls stopped by on a Saturday and helped put five together so they could be used right away.
Rachelle Harris’ daughter, Aubree, spent a week at the Sparrow Children’s Center last fall. Aubree, 3 years old at the time, ended up sharing a room with her friend and WILDCATS teammate.
“We knew there was a need for more wagons,” Harris said. “We raise money every year and this was the perfect way for us to give back.”
Two families each purchased a wagon, the booster club bought another and money collected from fundraising paid for seven others.
On any given day, there are between 15-40 children being cared for in the Sparrow Children’s Center.
