Saif Al-Naber, Biomedical Engineer Technician

Saif Al-Naber is known as “the number one go-to person when it’s crunch time.”
Saif is a Biomedical Engineer Technician in Sparrow’s Clinical Engineering Department. The department’s director, Bill Degg, said Saif is much in demand among Sparrow Caregivers who know how vital medical machinery is to the well-being of Sparrow Patients.
“With high-pressure, no-win situations, you send Saif in and you end up winning,” Degg said. “He never takes shortcuts. He goes out of his way to do things right.”
That’s why Saif has been chosen for this month’s Sparrow Caregiver Spotlight. The Caregiver Spotlight honors those like Saif who provide extraordinary care, making sure the needs of our Patients always come first.
Saif’s specialty is repairing electronic medial machinery - particularly the Patient monitors so important to the health and safety of Sparrow’s Patients.
“Patient safety is our number one priority,” said Saif, a native of Jordan who came to Michigan in 1998. He’s worked at Sparrow for four years.
“I love what I do and I try to stay positive, no matter what the situation is,” he said. “Making somebody else happy makes me happy.”
