The Sparrow Cancer Center recently received a $4,000 donation from members of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Sigma Upsilon Chapter to be used to help transform care and educate men about prostate cancer.
The money was raised during the Second Annual Jack Pitts Open Golf Tournament. This year’s theme was prostate cancer awareness. All tournament proceeds were donated to organizations dedicated to providing outreach and information about prostate cancer to men statewide, particularly to the Greater Lansing and Metro Detroit communities.
The Professional Omega man has a lifetime commitment to serve humanity through service and duty with honor. Last year, Omega Psi Phi donated $2,500 to the Sparrow Cancer Center for breast cancer awareness efforts.
The Sparrow Cancer Center has been providing incredible cancer care to the mid-Michigan region for more than 50 years.
