Operation Santa 2015 provides gifts for nearly 160 children

Published: Dec. 17, 2015

Sparrow Caregivers have once again generously supported less fortunate local children and families to ensure they enjoy the holiday season.

Forty-seven families with students at Lansing’s Fairview STEM Magnet School received gifts during Operation Santa 2015. A total of 157 children were given presents.

The truckload of toys and clothes was delivered to the school on Tuesday, Dec. 15. Fairview staff then passed out the presents to parents so they could give them to their children in grades pre-kindergarten through third.

Sparrow sponsored a luncheon for all students at the school on Wednesday, Dec. 16.

“Without the support of these Sparrow Caregivers, some of our families wouldn’t have a great Christmas,” said Janice Marchal, Principal, Fairview STEM Magnet School. “I really appreciate it. The staff appreciates it and I know the families and children do, too. They enjoy the surprise and the excitement of the season.”

Choose Wisely. Choose Sparrow.
