Craig Oster of Haslett has survived amyotropic lateral sclerosis (ALS or "Lou Gehrig's disease") for 19 years and works out religiously at Sparrow Rehabilitation Services. He met this week with two great-grandchildren of the co-founder of Harley-Davidson while promoting a Sept. 28 benefit at the Avenue Cafe in Lansing to raise money for his health care expenses. Sparrow is a co-sponsor of the benefit.
